I know how to set up a facebook account, however this is something I do not want to do. I am a private person. I am stretching myself by emailing. I cannot see my personal information out there for everyone to see. I know I am old-fashioned, but sorry...I have no desire to do this section.

I would suggest setting up an account with a pseudonym, just so you are able to experience how it works. The goal of 23 Things is to get you familiar with the ins & outs of each of the Things, and the only way you can really do that is to have hands-on experience with it.
